1- MagSafe & compatibility
Are Marcel Robert cases compatible with MagSafe?
Yes. Since the iPhone 13 generation, all our leather cases have a magnetic ring located under the leather, ensuring reliable attachment, optimal alignment, and efficient wireless charging.
Does MagSafe work well through leather?
Yes. Our full-grain leathers are adjusted in thickness to ensure an excellent magnetic attachment and loss-free charging.
Is the MagSafe magnet built into the case?
Yes. It is invisibly integrated between the inner shell and the leather.
Can I use a MagSafe charger with your case?
Yes. Our cases are compatible with Apple MagSafe chargers and all certified Qi chargers.
Does the case hold securely on a MagSafe support (car, desk)?
Yes. Thanks to its built-in magnet and optimized weight, it holds securely even when vertical.
Are your cases compatible with MagSafe accessories such as Apple batteries or card holders?
Yes. All MagSafe accessories work perfectly with our cases.
Is the leather damaged by repeated use of MagSafe?
No. Our high-end leathers are designed to withstand heavy use, including MagSafe.
Are your cases compatible between the iPhone 13, 14, 15, and 16 ?
No. Our cases are specifically designed for a specific iPhone model. Therefore, with each new generation of iPhone and for each model, we are obliged to develop a new case. The advantage, however, is that we can guarantee a perfect fit between the case and the iPhone, as well as optimal MagSafe performance.
Do iPhone 16 models have a different MagSafe? Is your case compatible?
Yes. Since the launch of the iPhone 16 generation, our cases have been compatible with the new MagSafe 2 generation which offers faster battery charging.
Is there a difference between a “MagSafe-compatible” case and a “MagSafe-integrated” case?
Yes. Only a case with an integrated magnet guarantees perfect alignment and stable charging.
Do your cases protect the camera on Pro and Pro Max models ?
Yes. Our cases are designed to protect the prominent camera modules on Pro and Pro Max models, with slightly raised edges around the lenses for maximum protection.
Can I use your cases with a screen protector ?
We have made sure that you don't need to use screen protectors, but if you absolutely want to use one, then no problem, you can
2- Manufacturing & delivery times
What are your shipping times?
If the model you have ordered is in stock, your order will be processed within 24 to 48 working hours and then handed over directly to the carrier.
We store our products and prepare each shipment in-house — without any intermediaries or third-party logistics platforms (such as Amazon or others).
However, during periods of high demand or for certain special editions, a slight additional delay may apply.
Once handed over to the carrier, the delivery time will depend on the destination and the mode of transport selected when placing the order.
Where are your products shipped from?
All our products are shipped from our workshop-warehouse located in Pontivy (Brittany). This allows us to maintain direct control over product quality, order preparation, and shipping, without the need for intermediaries.
Do you ship to international destinations?
Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on the destination and the carrier selected at the time of ordering.
When you proceed to checkout, the options available for your country will be displayed automatically.
If you cannot find your destination or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us .
Can I track my order online ?
Yes. Once your order has been shipped, you will automatically receive a confirmation email containing a tracking link so you can follow each stage of the delivery process, from our workshop to your address. You can also access this link from your personnal account <a href="/account" title="Customer area">customer area</a>, if you created an account when placing your order.
Can you manufacture an item upon request ?
Yes. Most of our models available in stock are handcrafted in small batches:
- calfskin cases are numbered to ensure traceability.
- cases made from exotic leathers such as python, ostrich, lizard, and alligator are unique pieces—marked “exemplaire unique”
We can also make items to order, according to your preferences (model, leather, finish). Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your project: we can show you concrete examples of unique pieces we have already made.
The manufacturing time for a custom-made item is generally 2 weeks.
3- Warranty & After-Sales Service
How long is the warranty period for your cases ?
All our products are covered by the 2-year legal warranty of conformity, in accordance with Articles L.217-3 to L.217-20 of the French Consumer Code
This warranty applies from the date of delivery and covers any defects in conformity present at the time of sale, even if they appear later.
Specifically, this includes manufacturing defects: abnormal stitching, assembly problems, defective gluing, or internal structure not suitable for normal use.
However, this warranty does not cover natural wear and tear associated with daily use, such as:
- leather patina,
- micro-scratches,
- marks caused by friction or a fall,
- or any damage resulting from improper care (excessive heat, water, aggressive products, etc.).
Each situation will be carefully reviewed: if you notice an abnormal defect, don't hesitate to contact us. We are craftsmen first and foremost, and our priority remains the lasting satisfaction of our clients
Can I return a product I have ordered ?
You have a legal withdrawal period of 15 days to return a non-personalized product.
Within the EU, clients who selected Postal Delivery service (colissimo), upon request to our customer service team, may receive a prepaid return label. Those outside the EU remain responsible for arranging postal return and sharing the cost with us prior to reimbursement.
For shipments via DHL, regardless of destination, a prepaid DHL return label is provided for your convenience

Where do the leathers used in Marcel Robert products come from ?
Our leathers come from French and Italian tanneries that have been partners of Marcel Robert for many years, some for over 10 years. They are familiar with our requirements and how we use their leathers, so each hide is carefully selected for its quality and consistency
What types of leather do you offer for your iPhone and Galaxy cases and Apple Watch straps ?
We only use high-end full-grain leather: cowhide (France/Italy), python (Italy), ostrich (France), and alligator (France).
What is the difference between a Marcel Robert case and a low-end leather case ?
Our cases are made from full-grain leather, which is the top layer of the hide and is the most resistant and durable. Low-end products often use reconstituted leather, which is less resistant and ages prematurely or even deteriorates very quickly with intensive use.
How should I care for a leather case or watch strap ?
Clean regularly with a soft cloth. Avoid water, solvents, and prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat. Gentle care will prolong the natural beauty of the leather.
What should I do if my case gets wet ?
Let it dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use a heat source or hair dryer. Full-grain leather can temporarily absorb moisture without damage if dried properly.
How can I nourish the leather to keep it looking shiny ?
You can occasionally use a nourishing milk for full-grain leather. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area before applying.
Will the leather develop a patina over time ?
Yes. This is one of the characteristics of full-grain leather. The patina forms through contact with your hands and everyday use, giving each case a unique character.
How resistant are exotic leathers to intensive daily use ?
Our exotic leathers are treated to retain their beauty over time. Regular use will develop a noble patina without altering the quality of the leather.
Why choose a full-grain leather case over a silicone or plastic case ?
Full-grain leather offers superior durability, an incomparable feel, and ages beautifully over time thanks to its unique patina.
What is the difference between your cases and those sold by Apple ?
Our cases are handcrafted from high-end full-grain leather, with superior quality finishes and materials, while Apple cases mainly use synthetic materials “made in China.”
Full-grain leather vs. reconstituted leather: what's the difference for an iPhone or Galaxy case ?
Full-grain leather retains its natural structure and strength, while reconstituted leather is made from compressed leather scraps that are much less durable and age prematurely.
What are the advantages of exotic leather for a high-end iPhone or Galaxy case ?
